Smith Named NAC Player of Week

Husson Eagles junior OF/P Olivia Smith is the North Atlantic Conference Player of the Week after helping her team go 6-1 last week.

Smith (Calais HS) went 18-for-24, with one HR, six doubles,10 RBI and eight runs scored.

In the circle, Smith pitched 12 innings over three games and struck out seven.

The (9-8) Eagles swept doubleheaders from Colby and UM Presque Isle, split a doubleheader with Bowdoin and won a single game vs the University of Southern Maine.

Husson softball plays UMPI Wednesday afternoon and opens NAC conference play this Saturday vs New England College.
