Red Sox reliever Carson Smith may have a serious shoulder injury and you won't believe how it happened.

After giving up a home run in the 8th inning, Smith came off the field, into the dugout and threw his glove. And he suffered a subluxation of the right shoulder.

He goes on the 10-day DL but everyone believes it could be much longer than that.

Smith, Sox manager Alex Cora and Sox president Dave Dombrowski all talked with the media about the incident and what's next.

Smith is 1-1 with a 3.77 ERA so far this season.

Lefty Bobby Poyner gets called up from Pawtucket to take Smith's roster spot.
