The conclusion to the three game set with the LA Angels was not a sweet one for the Sox as they fell in the finale 3-2.

The Angles out-slugged the Sox in the match-up and scored all their runs off of homers to secure the narrow one-run victory.  Mike Trout, Luis Valbuena, and Andrelton Simmons each had a solo HR in the contest, while Hanley Ramirez also went yard for the Sox.

Rick Porcello was the tough luck loser in the contest, pitching a complete game, but allowing the three runs to score on five hits and a lone walk.  He also struck out six in the contest.  The loss was the 13th of the season for the reigning Cy Young winner in the American League.

The New York Yankees picked up a 6-4 win over Seattle, while Tampa Bay lost to the Rangers in AL East action.  The Yankees are now 2.5 games back, while Tampa remains 3.5 behind the Sox.

Boston now heads to Seattle to face the Mariners for a three game series.  The Sox will have Eduardo Rodriguez going in the contest versus James Paxton, first pitch coming at 10:10 p.m.
