Nathan Eovaldi pitched six strong innings and the Red Sox the perfect spoiler Sunday afternoon beating the Tampa Bay Rays 7-3.

After losing the first two games of the series in extra innings, the Sox got a step closer to making sure they finish above .500 heading into the final week of the season.

Eovaldi has been building arms strength since elbow surgery put him out of action. He got his second win of the year, giving up three runs in his six innings of work.

On the offensive side, Christian Vazquez hit a three-run home in the first inning to get the Sox off to a fast start.

JD Martinez added three hits and two RBI, leaving him with 99 heading into the last week.

The Sox play in Tampa Bay one more time Monday night. You can hear the game live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket.
