Just hours after jettisoning Hanley Ramirez from the roster, the Boston Red Sox powered up against the Atlanta Braves and scored a 6-2 interleague win.

J.D. Martinez (16), Mookie Betts (17), Xander Bogaerts (7) and Mitch Moreland (8) all smashed home runs. Moreland had two hits as he becomes the primary first baseman with Ramirez out of the picture.

On the hill, Eduardo Rodriguez went 5.2 innings, giving up two runs. E-Rod struck out seven but dealt with lots of base runners after walking three and giving up six hits.

The bullpen combo of Hembree, Kelly, Barnes and Kimbrel held the Braves off the board.

The Sox are now 35-16 and take on Atlanta at 1pm today.
