The nightmare continues for the Boston Red Sox. A Saturday night 5-3 loss to the Yankees and now, already 9.5 games behind the Yanks, they are in danger of getting swept.

It isn't like the Sox are getting pounded by the Yankees but they simply can't get shut down pitching when needed, nor can they get key hits when needed.

Case in point, Rick Porcello gives up a 5th inning home run to Gary Sanchez...

Porcello gives up five runs in 4.2 innings.

Meanwhile, the offense sputters, despite getting 11 hits.

The Sox were just 2-for-14 with runners in scoring position and struck out 14 times, tying a season high.

David Price pitches tonight when the Sox try to avoid a sweep and end a four game losing skid.
