The Talladega NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series race is famous for 'the big one'. A bigtime wreck that takes out multiple cars. Monday afternoon, 'the big one' happened three times and the second one involved Maine's Austin Theriault.

Racing in his fifth Cup Series race, Theriault had his best day behind the wheel. He began Stage 2 of the race in 34th spot and finished 17th. And, Theriault even led a lap.

But on lap 162, two big name drivers, Joey Logano and William Byron started 'big one' #2 and Theriault got caught up in it (check out the #51 gold car coming in from the right side in the video...)

Theriault and the Rick Ware Racing team was done for the day and finished in 35th spot.

At the end of the day, Ryan Blaney beat out Ryan Newman to win the race.
