A tough day for the UMaine baseball team in New York while the UMaine softball team keeps winning in America East play.

The baseball Bears lost 9-3 and 7-4 to the first place Bearcats of Binghamton U.

Maine falls to 3-5 in AE and 14-19 overall.

UMaine softball could only get in one game of the doubleheader down at UMBC. The Bears won 7-1. Alyssa Derrick hit two home runs. Molly Flowers got the win in the circle.

The Black Bears are in first place in America East with a 9-1 record. The Bears are 14-18 overall.
