If nothing else, the UMaine hockey team will probably be happy they do not face Vermont again this year after losing both games this weekend and going 0 for 4 on the season. The Catamounts took a 2-1 lead into the third and added two more goals in the final period to post the 4-1 win. Offense continued to be a struggle especially on the power play for the Bears who went 0-5 in the game and 0-9 in the two game weekend series. Not only has UMaine lost all four games against the Catamounts this season, they were outscored in those games 18-8.

The Bears are now 3-11-1 on the season and play a single game next week on the road at UMass Lowell.
