Voting is Open for the Week 2 High School Athlete of the Week [POLL]
Voting is now open for the Week 2 High School Athlete of the Week for performances September 9-14.
Voting will remain open through Thursday September 19th at 11:50 p.m. We will announce the winner on Friday, September 20th. They will join Kal Laslie from the Ellsworth Boy's Soccer Team who was the Week 1 High School Athlete of the Week.
Here are this week's nominees.
- Ben Arsenault - Orono Boy's Cross Country - Had a winning time of 16:43.80 in the Bucksport Invitational
- Nathan Baker - Old Town Golf. - Co-Medalist on Monday, Medalist on Thursday with rounds of 36. Scored an Eagle on Hole #1 in Presque Isle.
- Jack Brewer - Orono Football threw for 376 yards and scored 4 touchdowns against MDI
- Owen Corrigan - Caribou Boy's Soccer had 4 goals and 2 assists against Old Town on September 11th.
- Quinn Corrigan - Caribou Girl's Soccer - The freshman had 4 goals against Old Town on September 11th
- Makinley Crowley - Sumner Girl's Soccer - As a 13 year old freshman she had 3 goals and 2 assists in 2 games
- Karina Dumond - Old Town Girl's Soccer had 4 goals against Caribou
- Claire Gaetani - John Bapst Girl's Soccer - Had 2 goals in their win over MDI on September 10th.
- Aedyn Hughes - Ellsworth Boy's Cross Country - Had a winning time of 17:28.09 in the Wildcat Invitational
- Allie Flagg - Brewer Field Hockey had 4 goals in their victory over Hermon.
- Galvin Monyok - Hampden Academy Football passed for 295 yards and ran for 70 yards scoring 2 touchdowns in their win over John Bapst.
- Maddie Niles - Lawrence Field Hockey had 4 goals and 3 assists in win over Bangor.
- Aleah Rideout - Presque Isle Girl's Cross Country - Had a winning time of 21:46.67 in the Wildcat Invitational.
- Jay Tweedie - Orono Boy's Soccer has had 11 goals in 3 games for the Red Riots.
- Clara White - Orono Girl's Cross Country - Had a winning time of 19:42.80 in the Bucksport Invitational.
- Carter Wiggin - Hermon Boy's Soccer scored 4 goals and had 3 assists against Old Town.

We are taking nominations for outstanding performances for Week 3, for the week September 16 21st. Please nominate a athlete by sending a email to Chris Popper.. In your nomination please include stats, the school and why they should be athlete of the week. Nominations will be accepted through Sunday, September 22nd, with voting taking place September 23rd-26th with the winner of Week 3 being announced on September 27th.
