Week 6: Athlete of the Week [VOTE]

Mt. Ararat HS golfer Caleb Manuel completed his high school career on Saturday with a 3-under par 69 to win his second consecutive Class A Maine Schoolboy Individual Golf Championship. Two weeks ago he led his Eagles to a second straight Team State Championship.

Foxcroft Academy goalkeeper Abbie Moore posted two more shutouts last week, including a 20-save performance in the Ponies 1-0 double overtime win vs Winslow. Foxcroft ranks #1 in Class C North with an 11-0 record. Moore and the Ponies have allowed only two goals all season.

Sumner HS senior soccer player Damon Warren scored his 100th career goal last week in a 7-3 win over Jonesport-Beals. He added another four goals in a win over Lee Academy later in the week to run his career total to 104 goals. Sumner begins this week as the #2 team in Class C North with an 11-0-1 record.

Winslow HS junior RB Rob Clark and his Black Raiders racked up almost 500 yards of offense in Friday night's 61-37 win over MCI. Clark rushed 21 times for 293 yards and scored four touchdowns (24, 6, 44,56 yards). He now has 656 yards and 7 TDs on the season as Winslow is ranked #1 in Class C North with a 5-1 record.
