After 13 years in the NFL, defensive lineman Vince Wilford will be retiring from the game of football.

Wilfork announced on Monday afternoon that he'll be trading in the football cleats for the BBQ tongs and retiring from the game.  The D-Lineman released a video in cooperation with Kingsford to announce the move and promote a tailgate event they'll be doing on September 7th from Foxbor, Massachusetts.

Wilfork played 11 seasons with the Pats and logged 167 tackles wiyh 16 sacks and 12 fumble recoveries.  The past two years he has played for the Houston Texans and his last game played will be a 34-16 loss to the New England Patriots.

He made five Pro Bowl games, was named an All-Pro one time, and was a member of a Patriots Super Bowl winning team twice in his career.
