AE Poll: Black Bears Picked #7

America East Conference men's basketball coaches have picked Vermont as the team to beat while UMaine is picked #7.

The preseason poll is voted on by coaches in the league and they cannot vote for their own team.

The Catamounts won the regular season title a year ago but remember UMBC won the AE tournament and went on to knock off #1 Virginia in the NCAAs.

Richard Barron is in the first year running the Maine men's program. He is the former UMaine women's basketball coach.

The Bears open their regular season on the road at University of Denver on November 6h.
