After handing Thornton Academy its first loss last Friday night, the Bangor Rams handed Edward Little its first defeat, beating the Red Eddies 60-46 Monday night at Red Barry Gym in Bangor.

The Rams sit atop the Class AA North Heal Points with an 8-1 record.

EL got into early foul trouble and the Rams made them pay for it, shooting 24-for-28 from the foul line.

Bangor also forced the Red Eddies to turn the ball over 16 times.

And, the Rams hit on eight three-pointers.

Bangor led by four at the end of the first quarter, by 10 at the half and by 18 after three quarters. At one point, the Rams led by 22.

Matt Fleming led Bangor in scoring with 21. Henry Westrich added 16 and Damien Vance pumped in 14.

Austin Brown had 14 and Wol Maiwen added 12 to lead Edward Little.

The Red Eddies drop to 7-1.

The team teams meet again on the last week of the regular season in Auburn.
