Big Day For Pasic, Black Bears Sweep

The UMaine baseball team rocked UMass Lowell pitching for 23 runs in aa America East Conference doubleheader sweep 18-4 and 5-3 at Mahaney Diamond in Orono.

GAME 1  UMaine 18  UML 4:  The Black Bears had a six run 2nd inning and a seven run 8th inning on their way to a rare laugher.

Cody Pasic went 4-for-5 with three RBI. Joe Bramanti and Kevin Doody had four RBI each. Hernen Sardinas had a home run and three RBI.

Dillon Stimpson got credit of the win out of the bullpen.

Justin Courtney pitched five scoreless innings out of the bullpen.

GAME 2  UMaine 5  UML 3:  Pasic had three more RBI in this one to give him a six RBI day.

Black Bears starter Peter Kemble pitched the first four innings, giving up two runs and he gets the win.

The sweep gets UMaine back to .500 in AE at 5-5 (6-22 overall). UMass Lowell is 4-7 and 7-25.

The weekend series finale is tomorrow afternoon.
