Big Second Half Puts Cheverus Past Bangor

A big second half propelled the Cheverus Stags past the Bangor Rams by a score of 48-35 from Red Barry Gymnasium on Friday afternoon.

The Stags outscored the Rams 25-13 in the second half after taking a narrow one point lead at the half.Abby Cavallaro led all scorers with 18 points, while Emme Poulin had 15 and Lauren Jordan tallied 7 and was the game leader in rebounds.

Bangor had eight players log points in the contest, led by Olivia Sharrow with 8 overall.

The Rams fell behind early on, but rallied in the early parts of the second quarter before a Cavallaro basket gave the Stags a lead into the break.  Cheverus would dominate the rest of the contest, including a big 13-6 advantage in the third.

Cheverus moves to 3-3 on the season, while Bangor falls to 2-3.  The Rams will get right back at it on Saturday with a road game against Deering.
