
Black Bears, UNH Tie Again
Lots of hockey fans showed up at Alfond Arena over the weekend to help celebrate 40 years of Black Bear hockey and they ended up seeing two ties. Maine and UNH tied 3-3 on Saturday night.
Both the Bears and Wildcats scored one goal in all three periods. Nobody could score in overtime.
Ryan Smith, Canon Pieper and Chase Pearson scored Maine goals.
Jeremy Swayman made 27 saves.
The weekend ties leaves UMaine at 6-6-3 in Hockey East (12-9-4 overall).
UNH is 4-7-3 and 9-11-4.
Next on the schedule for the Bears, a weekend series at UMass.
