Bowdoin In Sweet 16 [VIDEO]

For the 13th time in school history, the Bowdoin Polar Bears women's basketball team is headed to the Division-III Sweet 16. After two wins over the weekend, (22-6) Bowdoin's next opponent is Rochester Friday night in xxxxx.

Four schools from Maine (Husson, UNE, Bowdoin, St Joes) made the NCAA D-III tourney field but the Polar Bears were the only team to advance.

Bowdoin earned NCAA wins over Westfield State Friday night and New York U on Saturday night.

The team includes several former Maine high school standouts...Sydney Hancock(Lk Region HS), Emily Campbell(York HS), Hannah Graham(Presque Isle HS) and Cordelia Stewart(Bangor HS).

Head coach Adrienne Shibles is a former 1,000 point scorer at Mt. View HS.
