Only one day into the winter sports season and the Brewer High School basketball team has been dealt a setback as guard Logan Rogerson will likely miss the upcoming season.Rogerson who is also the quarterback for the football team suffered a dislocated hip in the Witches loss Friday night in the Class B regional championship at Brunswick. Medical staff at the game were able to put the hip back in place, but the injury will cause Rogerson to miss the basketball season according to his father.

Posting on his facebook page Monday evening Gary Rogerson wrote, "Logan had his appointment today. It could have been worse but he will most likely miss the basketball season completely. 6 wks on crutches and then therapy. He should be ready for baseball season."

Rogerson was a starter for last years team that went 7-11 and made it to the Eastern Maine quarterfinals before losing to Edward Little.

Brewer will open this season on December 4th when they host the Cony Rams.
