Bryant Named 49th Fitzy Trophy Winner

Marshwood High School fullback/linebacker Justin Bryant was named Fitzpatrick Trophy Award winner Sunday afternoon in Portland.

The 49th annual awards banquet had been pushed back a week because of weather issues last week.

Bryant beat out Zach Maturo (Bonny Eagle) and Jarett Flaker (Scarborough) for the award.

Bryant helped Marshwood to the the Class B state title last fall, rushing for 1,494 yards and 31 touchdowns. On defense, he had 68 tackles including 19 for losses.

Bryant becomes the third Marshwood player to win the award
