UPDATE: Work is complete on the new practice chip and putt project on campus for the Husson golf team.

Fresh off winning the Maine Intercollegiate Golf title on Sunday, some of the Eagles were checking out the new practice area located between the Boucher Field and Newman Gymnasium.

The area includes 3,000 square feet of artificial turf putting surface plus artificial tuff fringe area. There is a large sand trap and a mounded area that has been seeded for real grass.

Coach Mike Dugas thinks the area can be used almost year round when players can't get off campus to get to a golf course for practice.

NOTE: The Eagles play in a tournament at Williams College in Massachusetts this weekend...The North Atlantic Conference championship tournament takes place next month with the winning team competing in the NCAA Division III National Tournament nexxt spring.
