The Crimson Tide of Alabama baseball team rolled UMaine 16-0 Tuesday night down in Tuscalossa as reshirt senior Justin Courtney made his return to the mound following Tommy John surgery.

Courtney was pitching exactly 11 months after having the elbow surgery and he sailed through the first inning with one strikeout and allowing one bunt single.

He walked two and gave up three runs in the second inning.

The home run ball bit Courtney twice in the third inning, giving up another three runs.

Courtney finished his 79 pitch return game by giving up another run in the fourth.

His line score read: 4 Inn, 9 hits, 7 earned runs, 2 strikeouts and 3 walks.

Meanwhile, five Alabama pitchers held Maine in check, scattering seven its.
