Curtis Wins Athlete of Week Vote
Woodland High School volleyball standout Emily Curtis topped this week's online voting for the Athlete of the Week.
The junior helped her Dragons team win the Class C Volleyball state championship. The first volleyball title in 17 years.
Curtis had 16 kills and 14 digs in the title match win over Calais.
She collected almost 35% of the more than 1,300 votes at 929theticket.com.
Hermon running back River Mullen scored almost 28% of the votes. Foxcroft field hockey player Maranda Poulin and Mattanawcook Academy running back Brayden Lujan also recieved votes for the weekly award.
