On the eve of his 40th birthday, it is being reported that David Ortiz will retire after the 2016 season.  After his third straight 30 homer/100 RBI campaign in 2015,it could be seen as a little surprising since he would still have a vesting option for 2017 if he amassed 425 plate appearances this coming year.

Back in Spring Training, Ortiz was quoted as saying he didn't want a "Jeter-like" farewell tour when he decided to hang up the cleats, but you know the Red Sox will wring everything they can out of Papi while he's around.  Today we want to know...
