Eagles Golf Gets Campus Home Turf [PHOTOS]

Work is underway at Husson University in Bangor for a new practice golf area on campus.

The project includes a 3,000 square foot putting turf with nine cup locations and a higher fringe turf surrounding the green. There's bunker big enough for five golfers to practice their short game.

The $40,000 project is expected to be completed sometime next week.

The Eagles golf team began its 58th season last weekend in Kentucky, finishing in 8th place out of 17 schools. Senior Gavin Dugas was medalist in that event. Husson has won 13 of the last 15 North Atlantic Conference titles and go for another one later in the fall.
