Just like Saturday afternoon, the Husson Eagles and Northern Vermont Lyndon Hornets split a NAC doubleheader Sunday afternoon. That means a 2-2 weekend for the Eagles.

GAME 1  Northern Vermont 8  Husson 5: The Hornets jumped on Husson lefty pitcher Cam Graham for eight runs in the first two innings and then held off the Eagles to win this one.

Husson scored four times in the bottom of the 7th inning to make it interesting.

David LeBlanc drove three of the runs.

GAME 2  Husson 4  Northern Vermont 2:  Eagles freshman pitcher Brandon Brunell threw 5.1 innings in his second college start, scattered six hits, two runs and picked up his second win.

Nolan Brown drove in two runs. Kobe Rogerson and Ethan Stoddard each had two hits.

The twinbill split leaves Husson at 5-3 NAC and 15-11 overall.

NV-Lyndon is 2-2 and 7-15.
