When Maine Maritime Academy senior Alayne Felix leaves the basketball court after Friday night's game, she could very well leave that court as the Mariners all-time leading scorer.

The power engineering major from Mahopac, New York enters tomorrow night's game against UMaine Farmington with 1,594 career points and needs just seven more points to pass Michelle Gott-Miles (1,600 points) as the school's top scorer.

Felix isn't making a big deal about, saying she only hopes the points come with a game win.

Since arriving in Castine four years ago, Felix has been the model of consistency. 96 games have been on the schedule and she has played in all 96 games.

Felix began the year tied for the #1 spot in school career scoring average (17 PPG), second in field goal percentage (.509%) and third in field goals made (521).

She was North Atlantic Conference Rookie of the Year as a freshman and has been named NAC All Conference First Team as a sophomore and junior. Felix is averaging almost 15 PPG this year.

NOTES: It could also be a big night for MMA coach Craig Dagan who begins Friday night's game with 299 wins in 18 years as Mariners head coach. His teams have a record of 299-175...Hear more from Alayne Felix and Craig Dagan tomorrow on the 'Morning Pitch' show at 6am on Sports Rado 92.9 The Ticket.
