Fort Fairfield Holds Off Mattanawcook To Advance [BOYS]

The Fort Fairfield Tigers advanced to the north region final with a 53-45 win over the Mattanawcook Lynx Friday night at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor.

Senior Isaac Cyr led the Tigers with 24 points. In that effort, Cyr surpassed 1,000 points for his career.

It was a close game throughout, although No. 2 Fort Fairfield maintained the lead for most of the game over the No. 3 Lynx.

Jared Harvey added 13 points for the Tigers (18-2.)

For Mattanawcook (14-7) Cayden Spencer-Thompson led the effort with 19 points. Alex Brown added 12 points and Logan Thompson had nine.

What's next: Fort Fairfield will play for the Class C north title at 8:45 p.m. on Saturday at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor
