When the Hermon Hawks host the John Bapst Crusaders tonight one thing is for certain - the two head coaches should know the tendencies of each other very well.

Bapst coach Dan O'Connell has been around for 15 years coaching the Crusaders. One of his quarterbacks a few years ago was Kyle Gallant, who is in his first year as a varsity coach of the Hawks. In fact, Gallant was an assistant coach under O'Connell for a few years. And, Gallant assistant coaches Max Andrews and Nick Jordan are also former Crusader players.

Both head coaches admit it will feel a little strange looking across the field from each other tonight.

Gallant's Hawks are coming off a 54-29 opening week win over Old Town. Quarterback Garrett Task threw four TD passes and ran for two more. Hermon features a spread offense.

O'Connell's Crusaders lost in Lincoln to Mattanawcook Academy in week one. His team turned the ball over six times. Bapst will feature an option attack on offense.

NOTE: Live coverage of the Hermon vs John Bapst game begins tonight at 7 p.m. on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket, 929theticket.com and on the new 'Ticket App'.
