We'd like to congratulate Cody Blair of Ashland Community High School for being selected as this week's McDonald's High School Athlete of the Week!

Blair scored six goals in two games last week to help the Ashland Hornets soccer team improve to 9-2-2 on the season.  In doing so, the senior set a new school record for career goals with 70 in 60 games.

Blair received 60 percent of the more than 5,800 votes cast, beating out Jake Jarvis of Old Town High School. Nevertheless, Jarvis had a stellar week,  throwing for 138 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over Hermon Friday night. The junior quarterback as thrown for 1,077 yards and 11 touchdowns this season.
