With snow falling outside, shots were falling inside for Husson University basketball teams who earned wins over Lyndon State Friday night at Newman Gymnasium.The men's team trailed early but got on track for a 77-65 win while the women dominated form the opening tip and cruised to a 73-39 win over the Hornets.

The Husson men put four players in double digits en route to their 16th win of the season. Trevon Butler led all scorers with 20 points that included a couple shots form behind the arch and a 4-5 performance at the free throw line.

The Eagles who improve to 12-1 in the North Atlantic Conference also got 13 points form Raheem Anderson and 11 points each form Tyler Norris and Darryl Wood.

Kissy Walker's women's team pushed their conference record to 12-1 as 10 different players got in the scoring column in their 73-39 win.

The best defensive team in the NAC again showed why Friday night as they turned the Hornets over 35 times that included 23 steals. They turned those takeaways into 32 points which helped them lead from wire-to-wire.

Senior Vicki McIntyre led Husson with 12 points, 6 rebounds, 7 steals and 4 assists while Chandler Guerrette hit three 3-pointers and finished with 11 points.

Both teams are back in action this afternoon when they host Johnson State.
