Husson Softball #1 Seed, NAC Tourney Host

The Husson University softball team swept and Sunday doubleheader at New England College and earned the North Atlantic Conference #1 seed. That means the conference tourney will be played in Bangor.

Coach Terren Allen's Eagles beat NEC 8-6 and 12-2 to finish the regular season at 27-11 and 11-1 in the NAC.

The Eagles will host the 4-team double elimination tourney starting Friday. The conference tourney champ gets the automatic bid to the NCAA III playoffs.

Husson Baseball: The Husson Eagles baseball team finished its regular season Sunday afternoon losing two 1-0 games to top seed Castleton of Vermont. The Spartans swept the four game series at Winkin Complex. The Eagles finish 21-18 overall and 13-11 overall.

Castleton will be the host for the 4-team double elimination tourney next week. Coach Jason Harvey's Eagles will have to wait until other conference games are played tomorrow to what seed they will be at that tourney.
