Irish Score 5-1 Win Over Maine [VIDEO]

UMaine and Notre Dame were locked in a 1-1 game late in the second period Saturday night. Then the Irish exploded with three goals in about 90-seconds and went on to beat the Bears 5-1.

Notre Dame takes three of the possible four points on the weekend.

It leaves UMaine in a tie for 10th place in Hockey East with Merrimack. The Bears are 5-9-2 (10-17-3 overall) and will play a two game series at Merrimack next weekend.
