Jared Remy Pleads Guilty To Murder

Jared Remy has pleaded guilty to murder and other charges relating to the death of his girlfriend last year. He was given a mandatory sentence of life in prison without parole.

Jared Remy, 35, is the son of Red Sox broadcaster Jerry Remy. The father was not present for the hearing today at Middlesex County Superior Court.

Remy pleaded guilty to first degree murder, assault and battery, violating a restraining order, among other charges related to the death of 27-year-old Jennifer Martel last August.
