Johnson Scores 16, Hawks Beat PI
Kent Johnson led a balanced Hermon scoring attack with 18 points as the Hawks downed Presque Isle 49-30 Saturday afternoon.
The win puts Hermon at 16-0 and back into first place in Class B North with two games to go. The Hawks run their unbeaten streak to 38 games.
The (8-9) Wildcats employed a 2-3 zone defense all day. Johnson helped shoot over the zone with thee 3-pointers.
Isaac Varney worked inside to the tune of 14 points.
Jonah Hudson led an injury plagued Presque Isle team with 11 point.
NOTE: Earlier in the day, Hermon broke its two game losing streak with a 37-21 win over PI...The Hawks improve to 14-2 and climb less than one point out of first place.
