Kyrie Irving took over when he had to and the Boston Celtics got their ninth straight win, a 110-107 in Atlanta.

The C's are now 9-2, the best record in the NBA.

There was nothing easy about this one. Playing their third road game in four nights, the Celtics could never put away the Hawks. Up by one point after one quarter. Tied at the half. Up seven points after three quarters.

Then Kyrie took over. A 16-2 run where he either scored or assisted on every play. His 35 points in the most in a Celtics uniform.

Also coming up big, rookie Jayson Tatum, 21 points and eight rebounds.

Al Horford almost had a triple-double, 15 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists.

Next for the C's - back home Wednesday night to take on Lonzo Ball and the LA Lakers.
