Opening day for the five-time Class A baseball state champion Bangor Rams vs the Lewiston Blue Devils and the Rams come up on the short end of a 6-1 score.

The game was moved to the turf of Mahaney Diamond at UMaine and Rams starting pitcher Carson Prouty struggled with his control, walking six and hitting a batter in 4.1 innings of work. The Blue Devils scored five of their six runs off Prouty.

Meanwhile, Lewiston starter Brodi Farinas held the Rams offense to just three hits and one run over five innings. He struck out seven.

Sam Laroche had two hits and a RBI while Hunter Landry had a double and two RBI for the Blue Devils.

Noan Missbrenner, Zach Cowperthwaite and Isaac Bushway  had the Bangor hits.
