LL East Regional: Old Town JRs Fall 19-8

Ridgewood, New Jersey beat up the Old Town Junior League All Stars 19-8 in the first round of the Little League Junior Division Eastern Regional in New Jersey.

The loss means Old Town will have to turn around and play Connecticut tonight in an elimination game.

After weather delayed the game, the Ridgewood team jumped on Old Town from six runs in the first inning, four in the second inning and five more in the third inning. The game was shortened because of the 10-run rule.

Joe Grasso and Connor O'Hara led Ridgewood with two hits and RBI each.

Noah Thibodeau had two of the seven Old Town hits.

The Old Town stars won the Maine District #3 title and then the Maine state title to earn the bid in the regional.
