Maine LL Champs Knocked Out Of Regional

The Saco Little League All Star team has been knocked out the New England Regional Tournament after losing Tuesday afternoon to Fairfield, Connecticut 7-1.

Connecticut jumped on the Maine champs for five runs over the first three innings.

Jon Morris and Dustin Walters each had two hits and two RBI for Fairfield.

Henry Lausier had the lone RBI for Saco.

The Saco team lost its first regional game to Massachusetts Monday night and finishes play in Bristol, Connecticut at 0-2.

NOTE: The New England Regional champion moves on to the Williamsport Little League World Series. The last Maine team to appear in Williamsport was Westbrook in 2005.
