Charlotte Hornets coach Steve Clifford and Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown are in the NBA news a lot lately, for all the wrong reasons.

Clifford is the former UMaine Farmington player and Woodland HS coach. Brown is from South Portland and son of longtime Maine coach Bob Brown.

Brown and his 76ers finally won a game after an 0-17 start. Philly beat the Minnesota T-Wolves last night 85-77. The team was one loss away from tying a NBA record for worst start to a season. The 76ers are in a complete rebuild mode.

Down in Charlotte, Clifford and his Hornets lost to Chicago 102-95. That is 10 straight losses for his team. The Hornets overall record is 4-15.
