Mayo At Portsmouth Invitational [VIDEO]

Former Messalonskee High School and Eastern Kentucky University standout Nick Mayo finished play at the Portsmouth Invitational Tournament with a 19 point performance in his team's win.

Mayo's team, called Mike Duman Auto Sales, finished with one win and two losses in the four-day, 12-game tournament in Virginia. Scouts and GMs from pro basketball get a chance to see 64 of the best college basketball seniors looking to play at the next level.

Names like Scottie Pippen, John Stockton, Dave Cowens and Kent Bazemore have played in the PIT and gone on to play in the NBA.

The 6-foot-9 Mayo had a brilliant career at Eastern Kentucky University. He scored over 2,000 points and is the program's all-time scorer.

Mayo scored 43 points and had 12 rebounds in the three games in Portsmouth.
