Mayo Nets 9 vs. Kentucky

Last year he was playing for Messalonskee High School, last night he was playing against the Kentucky Wildcats and scored 9 points in an 88-67 loss.Mayo, a freshman on the Eastern Kentucky basketball team has been a starter since their opening game of the season and last night played against his toughest opponent to date.

Mayo played 25 minutes against the #4 team in the nation  and helped his team hang with the Wildcats before running out of gas and points late in the game. Along with his 9 points he also pulled down 3 rebounds and came up with a steal.
