McCannell Wins Athlete of Week Vote

Old Town/Orono hockey forward Tyler McCannell has been voted High School Athlete of the Week by online voting at 929theticket.com.

Over 1,600 votes came in for the four nominated student-athletes and McCannell received almost 34% of them.

Also receiving votes for the weekly award were Parker Deprey of Caribou, Jackson Curtis from Ellsworth and Katherine Alley from Stearns.

For McCannell, he picked up his 100th career goal last week and the Black Bears won twice and have now won four straight games.
