After almost one week of pre-season over and the first scrimmage completed, the UMaine Football team held it's annual media day for the team in preparation for the 2017 season

The Black Bears players and coaches talked with the local media about a litany of topics, including the quarterback battle in camp, the start of the 2017 season on August 31st, playing at Fenway Park, and their big Game of Thrones night.

Coach Joe Harasymiak talked about the camp so far, including a scrimmage that occurred the day before at Alfond Stadium.  Harasymiak admitted that QBs Drew Belcher and transfer Max Staver did not have the best outings on Monday, but was hopeful that they both would perform better this week.

In addition to meeting with the media, the team took their individual photos, along with a team photo at the end of the event.

The Black Bears will hold practices again starting tomorrow afternoon with the second scrimmage slated for Monday afternoon.

Hear what Harasymiak said about the team's love of Game of Thrones, including what character they're most like.
