Husson pitcher Jesse Colford spun a four-hit shutout as the Eagles beat Thomas College 5-0 in a key North Atlantic Conference game at Winkin Complex.

The Eagles went on to capture the back half of the doubleheader with another shutout, a 1-0 combined pitching performance from Ryan Allender and Jacob Gauvin.

GAME ONE:  Husson 5  Thomas 0  Colford was in control on the hill in this one. Seven innings, just four hits, no walks and three strikeouts. He needed just 74 pitches to get through the seven innings. Colford is now 5-2  In NAC games, he is 3-0 with a 1.08 ERA.

Alex Chapman drove in three of the five runs for Husson. He had two hits and a walk.

GAME TWO:  Husson 1  Thomas 0  Luke Covey ripped a fourth inning triple and when the throw to the infield got away from the middle infielders Covey kept running and scored the only run of the game.

Allender got the win, going six strong innings of shutout ball. He allowed just one hit, walked three and had one strikeout.

Gauvin pitched the seventh inning to get the save.

The Terriers used five different pitchers in the game, holding the Eagles to just three hits.

The Eagles improve to 8-4 in the NAC and 19-14 overall.

The Terriers drop to 8-4 and 10-19.
