A day after winning the longest game in school history, a 15-inning 2-1 victory over St. Joseph's College, the Husson Eagles split their North Atlantic Conference opening doubleheader with Thomas College Friday night.

GAME 1:  The Eagles rolled to a 19-5 win. A big 11 run second inning put this one away for Husson. Conor Maguire finished the game with two  hits and four RBI. Ethan Stoddard added three hits and two RBI.

Ryan Allender pitched the first seven innings, scattering three runs to pick on the win.

GAME 2:  The Thomas Terriers bounced back with a 5-1 win in the nightcap. Brice Springer pitched the seven inning complete game. He gave up just one run, two hits and walked one.

Jake Bessey drove in three of the five Thomas runs.

Both teams are 1-1 in NAC play. Husson is now 9-9 overall. Thomas is 4-7.

NOTE:  The two teams play another doubleheader today with start times at 11am and 1:30pm.
