NAC Hoops Poll: Eagles Picked #1

North Atlantic Conference women's basketball coaches have voted the Husson Eagles as the team to beat this winter and Maine Maritime Academy follows closely as the #2 pick.

Coach Kissy Walker and her Eagles are four-time defending NAC champs but will need to replace conference MVP Kenzie Worcester. She has graduated and will be a student assistant coach.

Returning are guards Emma Alley and Sydney Allen, forward Joan Overman and in the middle, Megan Peach and Sami Ireland.

The Eagles got six of eight first place votes and 62 overall.

Coach Craig Dagan returns three of the top five scorers from last year. The Mariners picked up two first place votes and 58 points overall in the poll.
