NCAA Softball: Husson Knocked Out Of Tourney

Husson University's run in the NCAA Division III Tournament is over after the Eagles lost, 7-1, to Eastern Nazarene (MA) Saturday afternoon.

The Lions jumped on starting pitcher Arika Brochu and the Eagles with a six run 2nd inning. The hits, two hits and three Husson errors in that frame. The Eagles never could recover.

Eastern Nazarene pitcher Elisabeth Schaffer shut down Husson for all seven innings, allowing just two hits and a walk. She struck out six Eagles.

The Lions advance in the regional being played at MIT in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Husson finishes the tourney 0-2 and ends the season with a 24-11 record.
