The UMaine Black Bears now know they will play the Jacksonville State Gamecocks from Alabama in their NCAA FCS second round playoff game next Saturday.

The Gamecocks hung on to beat East Tennessee State 34-27 last night to advance to play the Black Bears.

It was anything but easy for Jacksonville State.

The Gamecocks trailed 20-10 at halftime. They roared back to take the lead. Then had to recover a fumble at the goaline as ETSU was threatening to tie the game with 2:30 left in the game.

The 9-3 Gamecocks played in 50-degree temperatures in Alabama last night. It is not likely to be50-degrees Saturday in Orono.
