Ponies Trample Past Bucks 45-18

The Foxcroft Academy Ponies moved to 3-1 at the halfway mark of the 2017 regular season with a 45-18 victory over Bucksport in an LTC clash Friday night.

Ponies' QB Nick Clawson led the attack with two passing touchdowns and 92 yards through the air on five completions, and scoring twice on the ground with 160 rushing yards.  Hyatt Smith had the two receiving scores and ended the night with 75 yards on his catches.  Smith also had a kickoff return for a score and an interception in the contest.

Bucksport came out of the gate strong with a kickoff return to the house from Carter Tolmasoff, but then Foxcroft would dominate the game and never looked back in the contest.  Foxcroft kicker Levi Stedman converted all of his PAT attempts and chipped in a 32 yard field goal in the contest as well.

With the win the Foxcroft moves to 3-1 on the season and will face Orono on the road, while Bucksport falls to 1-4 and will host Dexter next Friday night.
